![]() I feel like I sometimes see this level of troubleshooting in coworkers. Clearly the two problems required different solutions. So the next day when he was given a cat as pay for his labor, he carried it in his hands and ended up getting scratched to bits. His mom told him he should've carried it in his hands. Example: one day he carried cream cheese home by putting it on his head and it all melted. ![]() For those who don't want to read the story, it's about a boy who approaches each new problem using the method that worked for the last one. Is the logic behind basic troubleshooting a skill that can be taught, or is it something that you're either born with or not? I'd suggest it's somewhere in between-that some are naturally better than others, but that everybody can improve.Īnyway, it reminds me of the fable of Lazy Jack. ![]() Another post this morning reminded me of how I feel when trying to teach troubleshooting steps to a couple of my coworkers and I'm curious how others handle it. ![]()
